Hopper liner

SuspendedWe were asked to take a customer’s drawing and develop a flexible hopper which had a square entry point funnelling down to a round eccentric chute.

The requirement was also for no valleys, and really smooth bond lines, so we had to make the main hopper from one piece.  usually we would make something like this from a very soft rubber,Internal, smooth transition but the temperature of the end product required a less-soft neoprene in 6mm thick. This made the bonding process quite tricky, like forcing a square peg into a round hole. But as you can see, our Production Team made a first class job of it.Upright, upside down

Beryl had fun using it as a place to hide, in case someone actually asked her to do some work!!Beryl hide and seek

I hope she remembered to get out before we packed it for shipping to the far east.
