Following recent stories of a lively nightlife in Rio, Beryl decided to try one of the local tapas bars. Unfortunately, she forgot to take her purse (well where would she keep it?) and the Spanish Bouncer throws her on to the street.
“No, I’m not paying your bar bill, now get out!!”
Someone then suggested she should in future always keep a ‘flexible friend’ with her, but I’m not sure she has the right idea
To cap it all, she spent the rest of the evening chatting up the USA basketball team, but just gets dumped!!
Another good day for Team GB. The Hockey Women guaranteed a medal by beating The Black Sticks (sounds like an old Led Zeppelin song), Sailing’s Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark have been frustrated by a lack of wind or the wrong kind of wind or something, but will pick up Gold today whatever blows. And Charlie Hull made a solid start in the women’s golf.
Meanwhile, back at the Avian Olympics, Beryl has been investigating more ways to improve her flying skills.
Speed is of the essence here, but the flights are short, and this isn’t the kind of website that promotes a smack on the posterior with a table tennis bat. This guy is having waaaay to much fun.
Slightly longer journeys are achieved by the Water Polo Team. However, being launched from the deep end to the shallow end and back again wears thin after a while, and she really wasn’t keen on the fashion….those hats?!! Make you look like an anorexic Telly Tubby.
Now this is more like it. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I heard a great stat this morning on #bbcolympicbreakfast ….If Jason Kenny and Laura Trot where a country, they would be 13th on the medal table this morning. But as we finally get another burst of summertime, Beryl takes to the beach for a bit of volleyball. She is determined to get airborne but I’m not sure if this is quite the answer.
Beryl du Kling jumps another clear round in the Prancing to Music for Avian Equestrians. More complicated than dressage, this actually involves an element of sport as opposed to just showing off. At least Aggers seemed to enjoy it (Don’t get me started…)
Bradley Waddlings and the rest of the boys do Beryl proud in the velodrome. Fantastic day for team GB with 5 golds.
Not quite the way we had thought it would happen, but gold everywhere in Rio for Team GB
Beryl VanDuckling reaches new heights for the Dutch Olympic Team. Having completed her apprenticeship in the Dutch Ditch Jumping Acadamy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP32iWoqjnQ she finally made it to the big time.
When Beryl agreed to meet her cousin Berylina Rubbovicz at the Isometric Bar, she thought she was in for a good night out. Still, she ended up flat on her back as usual…..We give her a SEVEEERRRN!!!
Is this Beryl putting the final touches to the GB Synchronised Swimming routine, or has she just got the girls together to aerate the water and finally get rid of the Rio swamp effect? Either way….loooking goood!!
NB Boys can do synchronised swimming too, we’re not being sexist, it just happens that Beryl is a girl!
